Prime Photo
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Prime Photo collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use the Prime Photo app, website, and related services for AI-assisted profile photo generation.
Information We Collect
Prime Photo may collect photos you choose to take or upload, profile-photo references, body measurements or appearance preferences you enter, prompts and templates you select, generated images, generated-photo history, liked Explore items, reports you submit, device and log information, app interaction events, app performance and diagnostic metrics such as startup time, render timing, route timing, memory or frame-rate information, crash or diagnostic payloads, push notification tokens if you enable notifications, Apple sign-in or app account identifiers, purchase and subscription status, and any contact or support information you provide.
Some information may be stored locally on your device, such as saved profile references, body settings, notification preferences, liked Explore items, and generated photo history. Some profile-photo references and generated-image records may be stored on our servers or cloud storage so the app can generate, retrieve, and display your results.
Permissions and Consent
Prime Photo asks for camera access when you take a new reference photo, photo library access when you choose or save photos, and notification permission only if you enable generation alerts or updates. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings. The app does not require optional notifications to use paid photo generation features.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide AI photo generation, maintain your gallery and preferences, authenticate accounts, verify subscription access, deliver generation status notifications when enabled, save or retrieve generated outputs, process reports, measure app startup and navigation performance, improve prompts and product quality, protect the service, troubleshoot issues, comply with law, and communicate with you about Prime Photo. We do not generate analytical reports, ratings, aesthetic judgments, or profiles about users, and uploaded face images are not used to identify or profile individuals.
Advertising Measurement
Prime Photo may use Meta App Events and Meta Aggregated Event Measurement to measure ad performance, completed registration, purchases, and similar conversion events. On iOS, we ask for App Tracking Transparency permission before enabling advertiser tracking in the Meta SDK. If you decline tracking, we do not enable advertiser tracking for standard Meta App Events, but limited aggregated measurement events may still be sent to Meta to measure campaign performance in a privacy-preserving way. These events may include event names, purchase value and currency, product identifiers, device or app context, and other limited conversion metadata, and are used for attribution, measurement, fraud prevention, and ad effectiveness.
AI Processing
Photos, templates, body settings, and prompts submitted for generation may be uploaded to third-party AI service providers, such as OpenAI and BFL, to create the requested image. We do not use user-uploaded photos or generated outputs to populate the public Explore feed unless we separately obtain the rights and permissions needed to do so. These providers process submitted data temporarily to create the requested image, do not use your uploaded photos or generated outputs to train their models, and delete the submitted data after processing and any applicable safety review.
Explore Content and Private Outputs
The Explore feed contains first-party curated templates and example visuals selected by the Prime Photo team. User-uploaded photos, prompts, generation inputs, and generated outputs are private to the user and are not published to Explore, shown to other users, or added to public content surfaces.
Age 18+ and Other People
Prime Photo is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 18, and minors under 18 may not use Prime Photo. Prime Photo is intended for adults creating profile photos of themselves. Do not upload photos of minors or of other people. Uploading photos of minors is strictly prohibited, and minors may not be used with or depicted in the Service in any way. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor under 18 has provided information to Prime Photo, or if you believe someone has uploaded a photo of you or a minor without authorization, contact us so we can review and delete the information where appropriate.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate Prime Photo, including AI generation providers, cloud hosting and storage providers, Apple and app store services, RevenueCat or other subscription management providers, PostHog or other analytics providers, Expo EAS Observe or other app performance and diagnostics providers, Meta or other advertising measurement providers, push notification providers, support tools, and safety review providers. We require service providers to handle information consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, enforce our terms, investigate misuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain generation history, support purchases, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, process user reports, and enforce our terms. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes your account and associated server-side data. Content stored locally on your device may remain until you delete it, reset app data, or uninstall the app. Server-side copies may remain in backups or logs for a limited period after deletion where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or reliable operation.
Your Choices
You can choose which photos to upload, decline or disable optional notifications, limit analytics or tracking where app or device settings provide that choice, delete local app data through device or app controls where available, sign out of the app account on your device, delete your account and its associated server-side data directly in the app, and contact us with privacy requests. On iOS, you can change App Tracking Transparency permission in Settings; declining tracking limits standard advertiser tracking but may not disable limited aggregated ad measurement described above. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, port, or restrict certain personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Contact
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to [email protected] or through the contact channel provided in the app or website.
